Job Description

We're now looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team, who will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions across a wide range of digital services for Customers and Colleagues. What follows is what you might find our Full Stack Software Engineer mostly doing, your experience will flex depending on the team's needs, and your own aspirations. Our objective is to grow and create an environment where you can do what you enjoy.
  • You’ll be passionate about tech and future trends looking for opportunities to bring these into the Lab to keep our digital stack moving forward and drive innovation
  • You'll be given the opportunity and freedom to help design and shape the architecture and development and implementation of new features, improvements and 3rd party integrations.
What we're looking for:
  • Deep and broad understanding of JavaScript/NodeJS with strong development skills and exposure to modern JavaScript libraries and tooling, such as Reactjs & Webpack
  • Familiarity with contemporary REST APIs, adhering to clear standards and patterns
  • A working knowledge of a wide range of engineering practices and tools e.g. BDD, CICD, Jenkins
  • An understanding of Public cloud and the benefits it brings to engineering
  • Solid experience in a developer role
  • Aware of emerging technology
  • Experience on Front-End test automation
  • Experience with Tag Management Systems, Adobe Analytics, A/B Testing and General Data Analytics are desirable but not essential.
Key accountabilities and capabilities of this role include
  • Positively influence others by demonstrating core LBG values and behaviours
  • Act as a source of professional expertise and have accountability for continuously evaluating models, systems and sources of information, identifying potential for risk and ensuring fit for purpose where applicable.
  • Manage the definition/delivery of meaningful project objectives and the overall approach to requirements analysis and solution design. Use own judgement as to when complex issues require critical issue
  • Ensure the design and delivery of relevant models and identification of target operating models; own the resolution of design issues and risk
  • Build and maintain internal and external networks to source data and information to enable timely recommendations and advice
  • Engage and influence stakeholders, anticipating, clarifying and shaping requirements for the purpose of optimising business results.
